AUGUSTA AGRICULTURE WEEK 2026

March 16-22, 2026

A weeklong celebration of Augusta’s local farms, food producers, agribusinesses, and urban agriculture innovations!

Monday, March 16 – Hands-On Garden Day

Theme: Community Roots – Grow, Learn, Share
Activity:

  • Community garden workday at Belle Terrace Community Garden, with youth and volunteers planting spring crops.

  • Garden journaling for kids and families.

  • CTA: Share photos of your garden with #AugAgWeek.

Tuesday, March 17 – Lead the Way Tuesday

Theme: Cultivating the Next Generation of Ag Leaders
Activity:

  • Agriculture Career Fair at Hephzibah High School, featuring CTAE professionals, agribusiness leaders, and young entrepreneurs in farming.

  • Spotlight: Young farmers and agriculture students on social media.

Wednesday, March 18 – Ag Hero Day

Theme: Honoring Augusta’s Ag Heroes
Activity:

  • Ag Hero Recognition Breakfast at Humanitree House café, celebrating farmers, farmworkers, and food justice advocates.

  • Public Nomination Campaign: Community members nominate local Ag Heroes via social media.

Thursday, March 19 – Ag Literacy Day

Theme: Read, Learn, Grow
